Kayaking trip along the Teno to the Arctic Sea

See the spectacular scenery of Lapland from kayak

The River Teno is located on the border of Finland and Norway, leading to the Arctic Sea. In the autumn, the river shores turn into a spectacular display of reds and yellows from their summer green. Come with us and let this natural beauty take your breath away!

We arrange kayaking trips in the best season to enjoy the scenery, starting at River Teno along Karigasniemi all the way to the Arctic Sea. All in all, the trip is almost 200 km long, occurring downstream at a steady pace. During the trip, we’ll stop for lunch at the key locations: Ylaköngäs, ancient settlement, Sami bridge, Alakongas, the northernmost point in the EU and the Norwegian village of Tana, to name only few.

Best time to goFrom 1 September to 20 September, when the autumn colours are at their best.
TripKarigasniemi - Arctic Sea, approximately 200 km. Around 50 km kayaking per day depending on the weather and currents.
Duration6 days with 4 days of kayaking. The trip can be undertaken as a shorter version so that the starting point is closer to the Arctic Sea.
Cost980€ per person.
LevelIt would be useful to have some previous experience of kayaking. Beginners can also join the trip and, if necessary, parts of the trip can be made by car.
