Guided ice fishing trip to the lakes, ponds and sea

During the winter, everything Finland’s countryside is completely frozen. In the middle of winter, all the lakes and rivers are frozen, but you can still enjoy fishing.
This trip takes you ice fishing on the sea, lakes and ponds. As well as trying your hand at ice fishing, you can also try net fishing under the ice, get on a snowmobile ride and watch local fishermen seine fishing, which is a traditional technique involving a net. Our skilled, professional guides will teach and help you with fishing.
There’s also plenty of free time for you to enjoys walks in the frozen countryside; explore a historic area best known for its iron works; and try skiing or snowshoeing.
Enjoy the local cuisine and sleep in stylish hotel rooms featuring furniture designed by the famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
There’s also the chance to enjoy a traditional Finnish Sauna – are you brave enough to take a dip in a hole in the ice afterwards?

Kivijärvi is beautiful and pristine wilderness lake surrounded by large forested areas.

Our expert fishing guides will give you hands-on advice on how to start ice fishing and tips on how to choose the right lures.

You can also try net fishing under the ice.

From the lake, you can catch mostly perch, but also pike.

The morning starts with a trip to the archipelago, where you can enjoy the serenity and rugged beauty.

Spend the morning fishing on the ice, trying to catch burbot from the sea.

We will visit a deer and pheasant farm, where we will enjoy traditional Finnish fish soup for lunch in a local fisherman’s cottage.

Relax your body in a traditional Finnish sauna and – if you dare - swim in a hole in the ice.

Trip to the Lake Pyhäjärvi, which is biggest in the region and is home to very special species of fish.

Our professional fishing guides will take you to the best fishing spots on that lake.

After the fishing, you can enjoy a lunch in the Kauttua ironworks area.

Watch the local, professional fishermen seine net fishing and catch up to 1kg of perch.

Iso-Enträski lake is about ten minutes away. It’s a beautiful spot where you can feel the silence around you.

At lunch you’ll be able to prepare and cook the fish that you catch, with the help of our guide. There is plenty of brown trout and rainbow trout on that lake.

In your free time, you can try snowshoeing or Nordic skiing.
